Appearance:
Nice basic and unobtrusive design.
Crisp, vibrant display even in Eco mode.
No wide joints and gaps in housing quality.
Feel:
The phone feels smooth and level; it fits comfortably in your hand and has a pleasant weight, which gives a certain value.
Compact processing nothing creaks.
Performance:
First of all: I'm not Daddel- or game type can therefore not contribute to this issue.
Navigating within the home screens, or even within the other
Sections running mainly liquid. Only occasionally are minor
Watch stuttering.
All other features such as Internet Page Building, get mail, media playback, etc.
run quickly and smoothly - with no hangers.
Use in general:
The voice quality is fine for me.
The final death grip I have not yet managed, although it is already clearly seen that the signal bars go down well when solid encloses the lower end by hand. Knowing this, does one behave somewhat more cautious during a call. I think a few other phones have similar weaknesses.
Battery:
The big issue with the Xperia P.
Sure it's comparatively weak measure of the battery and there are mobile phones with battery last longer by.
However, some tricks there fast unloading counteract a little.
I myself am not a power user and come with occasional SMS sending, little calls and surfing,
in about 4 6 days with a single battery charge, depending on location and quality of reception.
How did I do that? I have
- First of all the battery charged to 100% and performed an update to Android 4.0.4.
- Closed all unnecessary processes and uninstall unnecessary apps
(Including WhatsApp dispensable for me).
- Playstore- and Sony update notifications disabled.
- GPS, WLAN, NFC and Bluetooth disabled.
- Display set to auto mode with Eco-Settings still better ad.
- Activated in the Power Options extended standby mode
- Mail Update to manually set.
- All unnecessary widgets from the homescreen and partly by app shortcuts - for example
Album, Movies etc. - replaced (the Multimedia widget seems eg to be a huge energy guzzlers.)
Let mobile phone to below 10% idle and off -
- When switched off fully charged and restarted.
After several charge and discharge cycles, the cell phone has stabilized at the above useful lives. However, the battery is less than 20% down pretty quickly when you make something, or GPS enabled.
All in all, I can live quite well with the current consumption.
Another note:
Occasionally, the battery consumption seems to go perform certain widgets or apps inexplicably into the air - even if the applications were completed apparently again.
This seems likely to be a problem with Android, however. Because after a reboot, everything behaves normally again.
Conclusion:
All in all, for me a nice-quality and fast smartphone with few weaknesses at a good price.
