This is an informed book about making the film full of great pictures and designs. Nolan realization of philosophy is, as in his previous films such as Dark Night trilogy, preferring real locations rather than the systematic use of special effects. We thus find in this book the different decorations that had built beings and the places chosen to represent the other planets.
There are many interesting details. Learn how was created the zero gravity effect by filming in Iceland where winds can go up to 160km / h from which the idea of Tesseract and how the décor was built, where they found the firm and convinced the farmer to plant acres of corn, the spacesuit Anne Hathaway was a defective closure because of which it was soaked every time she jumped in the water, how the dust was created and well other things going on behind the scenes.
The book talks a lot of history, so it is imperative to have first seen the movie.
They appealed to Kip Thorne, a professor of theoretical physics, to be a consultant on the film, and his equations have achieved some visual representation on the screen as the worm hole. These equations on the board are those of Thorne, not Brand and Murph teachers.
However, if you have knowledge about space and science, then you might be disappointed that the book does not cover really technical parts, such possible holes in the script, things like how the journey in Space is possible with a ship like Endurance, how little we approach a black hole before you get sucked, etc.
Overall it is a good complement to the film. Those who enjoyed the film should enjoy this book too. I found it interesting enough to finish it in one reading.
The only drawback of the book is the problem with sticky pages. My copy has several pages that are glued together. They can be separated, but sometimes the paint peeling off and leaves small white areas. Maybe you should wait a reprint or contact the Running Press editor to this problem to be resolved.
