Respect. Ergonomics I can only say good things. Once you have configured the camera accordingly
(Z. Ex. ISO on Fn1 + dial forward, exposure to Fn1 + scroll wheel, occasional RAW storage to Fn1 + release)
you can control the camera via the viewfinder and the dedicated exposure compensation control in quasi 'flying blind'.
Due to the generally well-designed feel of the camera makes it just plain fun to keep them in hand.
The viewfinder is not just highly dissolves actually does not bother, but I would wish simply more contrast.
The different color display between the viewfinder and LCD monitor is a bit ugly ...
Let us briefly about the quality of images per se. Images directly from the camera to convince with good sharpness and realistic
Color representation. In addition, Nikon worked the details out very well without too much 'to screw' to the micro contrasts as in
III RX100 the case. Images in the 1: 1 view can be more than excellent so despite the "only" 12 megapixels even crop potential
is available. Even better results I could achieve with DxO 10. Due to the good noise rejection (PRIME)
the camera can now be used well even at ISO 3200. I had the small sensor do not actually have expected.
Other peculiarities are noticed:
- The foldable and swivel monitor is just great, so you can very comfortably handle most situations
- The panorama mode (Sweep Panorama) I liked less, either I was too fast or too slow or lacked the end
a frame in the overall picture, despite additional Tripod try reach me only little useful panoramas
- The memory speed in JPEG's is ok (when using a fast SD card) in JPEG + RAW or RAW only
then it takes but a little long with about 2 seconds.
- The autofocus is okay and fail, but unfortunately too slow for spontaneous snapshots
- Battery power is very fine, particularly with exclusive Web Site Terms he holds long by
- Camera has a built-in adjustable microphone connection (something has become rare)
- The Image Stabilizer operates at up to 1 / 2s surprisingly effective (assuming steady hands)
- Very good macro mode (only 2 cm minimum distance at f F2 in WW)
My Conclusion:
The P7800 is a good bridge camera with weaknesses in the autofocus speed and saving the images.
Also the viewfinder could be more defined.
But what anbegeht the quality of the images, so they must also be in front of cameras with larger sensors and interchangeable lenses
not hide .....
Especially in conjunction with programs such as DxO it being this on top form!
For the currently called price of approximately 350 euros (as of 04/2015) you can absolutely not go wrong.
