I fed it via grabber directly from the device to the computer as 720x576 pixels Video Stream - goes smoothly.
If you look directly into the eyepiece, you have my opinion, a worse picture, perhaps because of the built-in screen inside dissolves only with 320x240 pixels .. I'm not so sure. The technical specs in the manual say this from nothing.
To get to the point:
at close range greatly restricted (in the house) field of view, because of the fixed 5-fold magnification. Maybe you can do something to counter this with a lens.
Outdoors I tried it only on the day when it behaves like a normal pair of binoculars, albeit in black / white.
yes Nachtsichtgeraet you can also use on the day!
Before first use, you should consult the manual (multilingual), insert batteries, turn on, adjust the eyepiece, aim at an object and adjust the lens. The eyepiece can be adjusted fairly easily, too easily I think. The lens is a little more difficult to adjust.
Batteries are used two AA batteries that should hold no IR light 6h according to the manufacturer, with IR light there are 4h.
(I have not tested yet)
the operation is relatively simple: the control dial on the top is the on / off button while the Lichtverstaerkungs controller. The switch is on the side (going a bit difficult) for the IR light and that's it with the controls. As I said eyepiece and objective are adjustable by rotary movements, the 5x zoom is fixed (unfortunately).
My opinion: I think is good!
