It was here already a couple of times the comparison between the two headphones pulled and I must say, most comments were correct.
I have a heavy heart but then opted for the PX200, because I mostly listen to on the train and I, feel the noise emitted by the PX100 outwards even as noise pollution.
In detail:
Benefits PX100:
- Angemehmer to wear because open and less pressure
- You get more of the environment (some see as a disadvantage)
- Powerful bass
- Good sound depends not so much on the correct position of the headphone
- More favorable price
Disadvantages:
- The punchy bass are optimal for live recordings. In "normal" productions of sounds "pressure" but something unnatural and can go for prolonged use on the nerves
- Strong noise outside, other passengers on the train will be massively disrupted, when you hear a bit louder
- In the center frequency range (Snare + lead vocals) a little weak compared to the bass. The heights are disappointing for many listeners to be (I personally find ok)
Benefits PX200:
- A total of slightly more balanced, more neutral sound
- Noise rays barely outside and vice versa little indoors
- The fact that outside noise can be shielded, you can throttle the volume
Disadvantages:
- For good sound, the headphones must be accurately positioned otherwise the sound is really bad ("tin"). If you have found the correct position, the basses are also ok, though less pressure than the PX100, for natural and balanced
- Balanced sound in the other frequency ranges. Depending on listening habits but the highs for some listeners might be too weak even here
- Printing of the earcups (since closed system)
- Wind and touching or rubbing on headphones generates loud noise
- Price
By handling both headphones are identical: foldable and come with hardcase. Jack is just not angled and.
Even the PMX200 (neckband) I tested: of course a matter of taste. My wife is thrilled, I have with the stretcher way some problems (there's more to come on proper positioning of the shells on for good sound. Otherwise, like the PX200 but not hinged, for only one cable entry. The PMX200 is lot cheaper than the PX200
