Listen to music I'm currently using an iPod 3GS and the already mentioned InEars of AKG, the (~ 32 in 2008) to play in a completely different price category.
Unpacking went pretty fast from the hand. However, noticed something negative, that there is no container in addition to the package itself for sample changers. Such I got AKG even then do so. But it also may not reflect the quality of a KH is measured known.
So now assemble the proper attachments and off you go. I am enjoying quite a lot of music, but I'm mainly in rock to metal or electronic music at home. Rock pieces from the Foo Fighters or Rise Against sounded really convincing, although here a little intimated that the drums and especially the bass drum does not experience a lot of love. But that may be due to the three years previously since the AKG emphasize a little more bass. Pop, Classical, Jazz and all the "moderate" genre sound really convincing.
BUT, when I first moved to the electronic direction, I was really disappointed. I hear a lot of Trance and Progressive and the bass sound without any pressure. I do not speak of it here, that I want a lot of bass, but that I value a balanced listening experience. And to just include the low frequencies. When I then tried it with post-hardcore and metalcore, the InEars definitely disqualified. The very fast "hammered" Bass Drum degenerated into a miserable existence. Many pieces lose here simply their bite.
In the end, one can say that these InEars the middle (vocals) and especially the ups emphasize stronger (is even on the packaging, but not on Amazon). This bass appear clearly in the background and therefore in my opinion is not a balanced sound longer exists. For fans of bass-heavy music genres InEars this should not constitute an alternative. It's not that they can not, but the mids and highs are simply much louder. A (cheap software) equalizer so I will certainly not try.
