I have photographed in recent years with the Sony Cybershot DSC HX9V and was increasingly unhappy with the speed and the reflective display. It should be a camera with screen viewfinder ago. Quick crystallized out that I want to buy a bridge camera, which like a good alternative to the SLR seems, since I do not want to lug around a lot of luggage with me and the camera should be quickly ready for use at any time. Long I have read reviews and ratings, talked about the problems and finally I had two cameras on the shortlist: the Panasonic FZ200 and Sony DSC-HX400V. For the latter, I have decided, among other things, because it is the newer model. With usual fast delivery, she arrived last Wednesday and I still made the evening the first test shots. The camera fits comfortably in your hand, reacts quite fast and even when shooting with flash, the reaction and the waiting time is acceptable. What I do not like so much the results of animal photography. Here the camera is not responding fast enough to the modes tested so far, so that the dogs had run partly again from the receiving area until the camera triggered. The color red is so often when shooting difficult and so I have photographed red roses in various modes and the result I found compelling. The red came beautiful and unadulterated in the recording. Video recordings I have not tried, I can not say anything yet. I'll catch up. What I find to be extremely impractical: The enclosed information book has been printed so extremely small that you can hardly read and brings little information. The camera is indeed a manual, but that is to be read on the display is not as good. Here I miss a CD, as they accompanied the last camera. Another shortcoming, really just a little thing, but can bring a lot of comfort: The lens cap must be put away awkward, here I am afraid a built-in loss point. My old Konica Minolta had the lid with a small loop attached to the Kameratragegurthalter. A clean, the cover could not be lost and the camera had always sleep instantly. I see myself already juggling with this cover and will therefore for extra money such a loop to buy glue, annoying little thing.
