Good camera with excellent image stabilizer

Bought as a holiday camera and complement to my DSLR me this camera. Certain changes in the operation in comparison with the Nikon were necessary. Helpful here is primarily the manual that you can download. In this manual, there are at the end of a very useful table with the overview of the Settings menu in which modes are active. This overview is missing from the manual on the CD.
Have the camera thoroughly tested in short holiday in Ischia, here is my conclusion:
- Impressive stabilizer, bird of prey in the sky with full zoom still photographed without shaking !!
- Interesting HDR function, in some environments, delivers impressive results, especially in problematic lighting, is for other environments such as landscapes rather useless (just lies on the operating principles)
- Remote control timer via smartphone works well, allowing a few holiday Selfies also in the wilderness.
- Panoramic photos are mixed, from very good to focus
- Have the most in the SR Auto mode works, the Scene Recognition System works well, the camera produces good pictures

In summary, I think this camera for the first impressions of this price-performance ratio very good, the photos were convincing in the automatic modes, in macro mode I have to practice a little / experiment. For use in rainy weather (one of the reasons for purchase) I can not write anything yet, we have not really made rain excursions, the holiday weather was too good.

Have the camera taken on our expedition cruise from Iceland over Norway to Spitsbergen and thus actually shot impressive pictures. 50x zoom was thanks to the good image stabilizer can also be used from a wavering ship and has delivered a few good shots of sea lions. Dolphins, whales, sea birds of all kinds of quiet sitting puffins to terns in the attack were detained in razor-sharp images, this moody landscape shots in the midnight sun. The camera also has the one or other light shower on Zodiakfahrten survived without any problems.
I had bought with this camera as a lightweight all-expedition camera and am completely satisfied with the results.
