Housing: plastic, battery compartment for 4 AA batteries or rechargeable batteries. The reflector is about 90 degree swivel upwards and rotate right and left. One position down for example macro shooting has the flash does not, however, a diffuser and a white visor is integrated above the casing, whereby this "deficiency" can be compensated. Weight with batteries 380g
Equipment / function: Horizontally and vertically adjustable reflector, diffuser and aperture TTL metering, manual adjustment 1/1, 1/2, 1/8, 1/64 flash output, zoom, slave flash and manual activation. No screen on the back, only with color illumination adjustment buttons.
Mounting the camera made of plastic with locking wheel. USB connection cable to transfer updates.
My conclusion: Mounted on the camera, the flash fires as required and zooms with the settings of the lens automatically. No shadow of the lens more like the built-in flash. Mostly neatly exposed images. Only when shooting at a short distance of Metz exposed a little too bright.
Slave flash: Here too, the Metz is useful and brings in connection with my Nikon D90 good results. Who has not tried to test it absolutely should!
Continuous shooting: Here the Metz is overwhelmed by a few shots and needs a break to recharge.
Because of the price, ease of handling and operation as well as sufficient for amateur photographers GN 44 I give a strong buy recommendation. Only the dropouts during continuous shooting bring a point deduction.
