For knife: The knife is not fully comparable with the Mora Companion, but is slightly smaller and has a much narrower blade that is also sanded the front. Even though it is well in hand, but it is in my opinion a bit too small and fragile for an outdoor knife (this is why a star deduction). Nevertheless, it is - like all Mora knife - extremely sharp and schnitthalting thanks hardened stainless 12C27 Sandvik steel and Scandi-Grind (Scandinavian touches larger angle attaches only briefly on the cutting edge). Designed having the knife Joachim Nordwall (who works as a product designer for Lght My Fire), he has but this is kept to the style of Mora knives.
Handle and sheath are other Mora
The back of the knife is burred, which is also necessary, because it serves to create sparks with fire steel.
The fire steel makes a very good impression. It has the usual quality of Light My Fire, ie it reliably generates sparks that are very hot and therefore very quickly ignite tinder (which can not necessarily be said of all fire steels on the market). It has been said here, the Fire Steel is tiny and the case also when working slightly from the handle. For this purpose the following: The fire steel is about the size of the normal Light My Fire steel (not the larger Army version) and is quite usable. To get him out of the handle is a certain amount of force necessary. He must first be rotated with gentle force and against resistance to the right and can then be pulled backwards. I have not yet had the experience that it comes off accidentally, not even when I was working with it. I tried to unscrew the Firesteel at work "unintentionally", which I did not succeed even when rotating and lever Direction working with the knife, though I have very large hands. Only when I knife deliberately not full surface on the handle but at the end I can pack unscrew the steel "unintentionally" in clockwise motion.
Overall, I find the combination of these two things very well done. I have several knives with built Firesteel (some more expensive), but none of them is such a good, successful and particularly high-quality combination. Although the blade slightly smaller and thinner than that of Mora Companion (in my opinion one of the best outdoor knife), the knife is still overall very stable and practicable, as well as the fire steel. I use the knife but due to the smaller, narrower blade rather than second- and Notmesser, in outdoor use, I have the Companion and the Light My Fire Army 2.0 here.
