That the camera, especially in the HI ISO range can not keep up with a current SLR, is of course illusory only because of the smaller chip size. According to information in the current "big ones" in the industry, my decision was made for the following reasons on exactly this model (priority to lowest):
1. I can my Nikon flash system used (Internal flash: Master, SB900: Slave).
2. Fast aperture (2.0-4.0 in sufficient zoom range)
3. useful viewfinder, though getting used to (Electronic Viewfinder and I will probably never friends). The frontal image stabilization is still helpful.
4. Intuitive user interface / adequate controls. Therefore, no big change of the digital SLR from the same house.
The following are the pros and cons that are relevant to me:
PRO:
3 User settings.
2 soft keys
DxO Optics Pro, there is a correction profile
Lightning does not extend automatically
Focal length adjustable, which is driven after the camera is turned on. This is useful when shooting under constant conditions to the object and the camera is switched off in between.
Filter Thread (who knows what you need it times)
CONTRA:
If the viewfinder is used, the following image in the viewfinder appears, not on the display. My view is habitually on the display. When I notice it and look at the viewfinder monitor, the image control is gone.
Tripod thread does not sit in the optical axis.
