The protection is good, with a good finish. The cover is light which is convenient if you want to slip into another bag, bigger. The colors correspond to the photo. My pc Dell Latitude E6420 is rather thick, a little big for a 14pouces, yet he just came into the pocket (it takes a little tight but nothing too restrictive, if we take the next size up, the PC would float in the case). In short, excellent view quality / price.
