With its selbstbetiteltem album Stone Sour deliver from a successful debut album. It's hard, but melodic and catchy. Even the tough opener "Get Inside", which reminds a little of the days when Slipknot, leaving a neat headbanging. Unlike Slipknot Stone Sour, however, are musically mature a lot. Maybe not right for each 'knot fan. There are some good Solis on the plate and simple but solid riffs. Unlike Slipknot sometimes a few gears down is switched here, however. The quiet and catchy ballad Bother and the slightly quieter "take a number" show this. What is striking about this one disc, the Corey Taylor can even sing, and that too as well. All in all, a good debut from a good band. Definitely not bad buy!
