1. Bluetooth connectivity, which allows me to listen to music from a variety of sources, depending on the activity. I can use it with a DVD player when I do cardio to reduce boredom. I can pair them with my laptop or my PC when I want the widest choice of music. With a transmitter, I can listen vinyl. Or I can simply connect to a tablet or my Kindle if I'm on the road.
2. Holding. After experimenting with all accessories, what works for me is the way tips with small stabilizers. The "wings" would fit into my ears. However, the fit is excellent, with a suction effect which I had not experienced before. Once the atria are stable in my ears, they remain fixed regardless of head movement. The cancellation of external noise is total, which is ideal to enjoy the music, but caution is needed while on a bike in traffic, for example.
3. Voice messages. My Sony Walkman also has a small voice, and I love the audio confirmation of ON, OFF, Coupling, Out of Range, and especially the Low Battery alert. With other brands, often there are only colored lights.
4. The action buttons. With such small switches, it is important to feel a response. The difference between a long and a short press release is quite separate for good use of these multiple functions. Since I do not have an iPhone or Smartphone, I have not tested the telephone operation, so I can not comment as well.
5. The flexible wire between the two atria. This is my big problem with my Walkman. The original model was perfect, but in the second and third models "improved" the rigid wire is too long for my head, and it pushes the headset out of my ears, annoying!
6. The sound quality. This is surprisingly good, comparable to the more expensive brands, and I love to hear the complexity and detail of the sound, rather than loud noises. There is a good balance between extra deep bass and clear treble.
7. Scope connection, which is higher than average among the Bluetooth devices I tested. Sound travels well through stone walls up to 10 meters.
Only downside: there are no instructions on how to use the various stabilizers. There are photos on Amazon but it would be useful to include them in the manual or on the box.
In conclusion, I am very satisfied with this headset. The price is competitive, it works well, pairs easily with all my devices, autonomy is good, it is comfortable for long periods, the sound is very good, and it is ideal for sports use.
