After switching on and connecting via a LAN cable, I could not establish a wireless connection. Neither via WPS, manually. A built-in device search for available WLANs, showed not a single WLAN, although almost 20 WLANs are active continuously in order in the house.
The update to the latest firmware brought no improvement. The unit was absolutely not move to find a Wi-Fi or connect directly.
After the reading of the manual and the technical data I could find no solution and am already starting from a defect. Only one forum entry after hours of searching brought the decisive clue. This device can only connect to wireless networks on channels 36 to 48, and found only this. Necessarily permit a manual channel selection of own router or access point and that these must then be set to channels 36 to 48.
In this circumstance, I have found no evidence in the manual.
This is actually an absolute no-go. From a manufacturer like Cisco, I expect actually a better implementation. Therefore, I have the router deducted two stars. Once these problems were resolved, I am satisfied so far with the device.
Conclusion: If you have solved the problems when they connect, it's a good device.
