Good device with a few weaknesses

I've been using for 6 years only laptops (for 3 years 18.4 inch models), but by buying a steering wheel at Amazon () I sat as far away from the unit, that while driving the countryside and especially the road was too small. So I'm the evening after I had made smart and Amazon in the town, and there've bought a 24-inch model ().
This is the same device like this one virtually, only 3 inches smaller.
When I was in the evening at home, I was surprised first time that the 24-inch model then but not so massive appeared on my rather small desk. Playing was the first time already ne deliverance from laptop display, but really big that was not.
Having rumgequält me ​​several days inside, if I try to replace the device in the larger, but then I have tried it, and I was given an additional cost greater.
Since Amazon (including reviews here) influenced my decision significantly, and I also found a lot about the device at other locations on the Internet, I would just like to leave some times my judgment here:

As I wrote, I needed a monitor, so I though I sit behind a steering wheel connected, the image can still see enough. With the 24 inch version of this model (60 cm diagonal) was not given. Once I even casually sprawled me as the game Euro Truck Simulator 2 in the seat, the more distant objects were too small for me.
Even with the one or other game where you use a steering wheel the graphics came not to their best advantage, because at this distance, many details were too small (ultimately the game "Driver San Francisco" was the reason to replace the device in 27 inches ).

Although I did not read about the only good 27 inch model, I have it now, and will even respond to some points:

> The size of 27 inches (over 24 inches) advantages and disadvantages. With a diagonal of 68 cm ample, a marked difference to the smaller unit with its 60 cm can be seen.
This unit will combine the possibility of a PC monitor with those of a TV. In this way I became aware only here through the Amazon reviews and deals, and so had taken some rummaging in the domestic stores also as an alternative eye.
When then came just a cheap device this Samsung or here (in 24 inches at the beginning) only for me due to the image in question, I immediately chose the Samsung because I eh normally not have a TV device have, and new acquisitions like something decent buy. In addition, had the cheap model no built-in speakers, and since I have no stereo currently here, I would have sooner or later have to buy anything extra.
Anyway, I was then switched to 27 this model here, which not only has advantages.

+ By the larger screen I see better behind the wheel details, only with 27 inches I have a really secure feeling on the street because they are seen simply much better and bigger. That's me by the way also in other games so!
+ A lot of games I experience thanks 27 inches with a whole new feeling due to the size, especially a whole series RTS games work much better here (as on 24-inch and smaller screens).
+ Only with 27 inch television, I have a real feeling! The 24-inch version was indeed ok, but I often had the feeling of owning a small compact device. Only now with the well 8 cm longer diagonal is this to me like a more or less full-fledged replacement TV.
- People who live close to it, depending on the game sees more or less clearly the pixels! This device is suitable in my opinion only for people who really wegsitzen also a bit further away. The Full-HD resolution (1920x1080), although at and ok for themselves, but at 27 inches you can no longer speak of high resolution there. While I was at the 24 inch version saw no dead pixels in normal distance, only when I went really get close, so I see here even with my (also through laptop) usual close distance. Depending on the game or what you also do does that more or less (unsightly). Who needs so much space, but as a really high resolution want (for example, for work), you should look for a model with higher resolution. Due to the display size, that is because it all looks a bit bigger than a smaller screen, you can wegsitzen yes bit further, and then it goes well with the pixels.
Who is sitting behind a steering wheel, and not just stuck with the nose on the virtual windshield, will also see the more pixels and have fun on this device.
For the Internet, watching videos, and TV shows, but the resolution is sufficient (full) from I think, since you there anyway occupies a somewhat greater distance.

After I now received little detail on the size advantages and disadvantages, now a few (important) points:

+ The sound of a TV or a monitor, I am fully satisfied. Adjusted by using the built-in equalizer, which should be enough for most people. (For me too)
+ The TV function is actually super, transmitters are relatively quickly (automatically) set up, I look through this device now but every now and then one or the other consignment (normally I'm not a TV watcher). The supplied remote control is relatively clear.
+ The viewing angle stability is excellent manner! While I looked at most of the other devices in the shop on the left and right of the eye depending on the proximity nothing more, so you can come here from almost all angles, and the picture looks still standing clearly in front of him. Good times if more than one person at the unit rumstehen / seats business that look so in any case, something else!
- As the Internet where read I can only confirm that illumination is not quite uniform. While there was nothing to complain about in the 24-inch model, so here is the picture on the right side a little less bright. For me, a small blemish, one can live with it, but if you look properly you can see the decreasing brightness (while it links to Edge is the same brightness).
- Picture in Picture (PIP) function yes, but bissel awkward. While there is a PIP button on the remote control, or at least the first time you have to press several things to configure the way you want it.

So, these were (for me) the most important points when I think of something else I Wear nor after.

Conclusion (Who is now this device?):

In my opinion, this device is the ideal device for people who are looking to your device both TV as want to use it as a computer monitor.
Thanks to 27 inches, it is big enough to have a pleasant (sufficiently large) TV picture, and there is thus also suitable for people the videos will look on the device, as well as PC games rather have slightly larger, for example because they (by a steering wheel) sit further away.
Not suitable this device in my opinion for people who pretty close before the unit sit (as they so really already see the pixels, depending on the game can act even ugly), and elsewhere on the display where you can also attach importance of Next close does not detect a pixel.
These people, and also the need the TV function does not necessarily should rather look around for a device with an even higher resolution if you already need such a large display.
All other but who like it big, even (sometimes) sit a bit further away, and sometimes fix watch TV if necessary want to the device, despite the few enumerated small are "error" served here well, I think. Anyway, I'm satisfied with the purchase!
