Bought with this now, 2011, we were actually largely satisfied. The claimed some reviews plastic odor we have not found to be very strong. The more frequently complaining whistle did not bother us, because we rarely morning inserting the stove where sensitive ears could have been disturbed. Finally: the handle located under the water level indicator, the stop ensures that legal and left-handers alike can use them - we felt quite as convenient.
Now, after more than three years, more or less regular use of the device has given up the ghost. The much-discussed adoption, many devices will built a short distance beyond the warranty period beyond limited life - this assumption has again very concretely confirmed even with us not for the first time.
We therefore have this kettle - even if it is now dropped significantly in price - not ordered again but to a different vendor, and equal to an extended warranty to. If Miele was offering a boiler, we would probably among the first customers. Too bad that even suppliers such as Bosch and Siemens no longer stand for really solid products.
Incidentally, Amazon should adopt at its own rating category "defect after warranty period". That might give the customer prior to purchase an important additional information help. Because of course allowed devices soon after the end of guarantee to give up their mind - but if that well but systematically growing brands happens with "Premium", the customer is clearly at a disadvantage in their purchasing decisions towards the producers. An important further information would also be: how long is the product already (unchanged) on the market?
