Delivery by Amazon as always was impeccable. After receiving the thermometer I unpacked it, but first let lie for 24 hours to equalize the temperature difference from the transport van and the apartment. Although is not so in the (English) manual, but I thought better.
Yesterday then performed the first measurement. As described in the instructions that right ear measured. Result: 38.1 degrees! Wow. Okay, I felt a little limp, but there begins already the correct temperature range. So again measured the left ear, here not so much, but also 37.6 degrees. Strong deviation, funny. And came to me still remains very high. That's why I measured it with a conventional thermometer again. Here me 36.38 degrees was reported. That was me before accurate. Well, I thought, I do not begrudge the new thermometer still settling in for another 24 hours.
So today then again measured. Result:
right ear: 36.9 degrees
left ear: 37.1 degrees
Still quite high deviation, this is indicated in the package insert but as tolerance range (+/- 0.2 degrees). Okay, after the previous test, I trust the thing but not anymore as accurate, so this time two herömmliche thermometer for oral taken measure (my old and my wife). Wanted to ask so sure that my "old" thermometer is not broken and the new but is right. So measured by two and ehalten following result:
1. Thermometer: 36.25 degrees
2. Thermometer: 36.27 degrees
So the "new" thermometer has again ne deviation of almost a whole degree. That is definitely too much. Absolutely not rely in the measurement. Am disappointed, perhaps you have in these Infraraor thermometers but ne corner to spend more money to get quality. I send mine now definitely back and take first again be content to measure the "classic".
