I have the knife since June 2011. The strong grip is well at work in hand. If you do not need, it is of course a bit more uncomfortable to carry in your pocket because of the higher weight. The plastic-competition here has virtually no weight and does not interfere. But with the plastic knives it happened to me like that the blade is pulled while cutting through the tension of the housing. The lock is only weakly. Here scores of present candidate. Is the correct blade length adjusted, the blade is clamped between the housing walls by the wheel. The blade then sits very firmly. Disadvantage, if you will, is that in this mechanism, the adjustment of the blade takes some time. In the current work we will not ever move back, if you put the knife aside briefly. And of course, posing a risk of injury because the knives lying around with an open blade. My conclusion: The feel and the secure locking of the blade are definite pluses. The handling is certainly not an advantage, but the "price" to pay personally like.
