good head with small defects

The Nest ball head is gray in a silky matt and therefore is meticulously crafted. There are a total of processing complaints. The toggle for the ball fixation can be very easy to operate and so that he can be set at any angle by simply pull out on the axis adjustable - outstanding!
The Panorama knob is stable and grippy. The panoramic setting runs silky soft, full and no play. The ball race, however, is somewhat "rough" but still quite enjoyable. The friction of the ball can be adjusted via a small blue roller. The setting is a total of not so confortable and not enough to fix the ball head but this only slows. The quick-change unit is processed very clean, but requires a lateral insertion of the camera plate. The camera plate latches itself and can only be solved by holding a security spins. A Verrigelung via a good quick release which can be adjusted in the contact pressure slightly.

Clean processed ball head
easy adjustability with any adjustable toggle
large ball with diameter 42 mm
backlash-free adjustment with panoramic mediocre readable degree position
excellent quick-change unit provided the original camera plate is used
for ball fixation no / very low neckline offset detected (felt / seen and no laboratory test)
good price / performance ratio

Cons:
Quick-change unit Arca-Swiss is only conditionally compatible, unfortunately my existing 2 plates did not fit (too much play; no lock available)
Friction control brakes the head, but not enough to fix and requires an increased breakaway force

I compared his head with the Rollei Fotopro T3 and the Sirui G-20x. Among these 3 heads of 80 to 100, - -Preisklasse the nest is in respect of processing, usability and function clearly ranked 1. Due to the lack Arca compatibility and the limited friction effect of nest unfortunately not met my requirements and returns. Basically, I'm not a fan of returns. But since you can rarely test a wider range of ball heads and the quality differences are relatively large and mid-priced and statements made do not always apply remains only this variant. Who should be involved in the purchase of a spherical head of the said heads in my view to the nest NT 642H (which also Made in China) recourse. This review should therefore give aid and avoid unnecessary purchases and returns other interested parties. If the nest is actually compatible with my existing plates he would be allowed to stay!
