When connect the first time it took forever until something appeared on the screen.
The menu is only in 720p and with a later run the offered Acer software "Acer Projector Gateway W7" only one transmission in 720p was possible. Whether the adapter still can produce 1080p anyway, I no longer tried later.
Pet peeve was the connection mode as a wireless client for me.
The connection was made quickly after entering the Keys. Nevertheless, the menus are still displayed the IP address of the AP mode.
I could see the network, the machine after all. It also provides an HTTP server to be available to the Windows or Apple version of Projector Gateway can be loaded. However, the link is incorrect "\" instead of "/", so that you only need to correct once the link in the address bar also here.
My hope was that there could be a firmware update. But this hope I had to give up because the adapter when calling the firmware update only one message was spending that one should check the network connection. Here, the adapter was in client mode and would therefore be able to access the Internet.
At some point you have then but no longer wanted. So I have the adapter returned.
I think when the adapter is actually a firmware update supports 1080p resolution and properly integrates a client device is a fantastic addition to an Acer projector with MHL. With the currently shipped firmware but not sure.
