If you want to connect multiple drives to a notebook so you have to contend with the problem that the number of USB ports is not sufficient and that every time you have to stake out a lot of connectors carry around the device. 2 solutions: USB Hub (is only one USB port occupied at least) or NAS (expensive and depends continuously on power for failsafe with appropriate RAID configuration) I opted for this interim solution: + Accessible via LAN port + Good throughput (approximately 30MB / s) even if you speak to several USB ports simultaneously + Good workmanship + Slim driver software + Low + For any units (eg printer) suitable - Special software to be installed on every computer to access can (unfortunately there is no standard Windows driver for NDAS) - No direct access of non-Windows computers possible (only via PC and Network Share) - USB emulation allows only one PC the plate mount (via Network Share of course any number)
