Good Mic

As a proud new owner of a Sony SLT A33, I realized quickly that the integrated microphone hardly enough even the smallest claims. I take pictures and movies, especially our little girl, whose chatter has been to understand even worse than the built-in mic as already live. The autofocus and stabilization sounds I wanted if possible not have more. I got myself the A33 especially thanks to its compactness, came for me no "correct" microphone solution (directional Micro etc.) in question. Finally, the camera should still fit in my backpack. In addition, you excite one of these larger microphones for my taste too much attention in parks, museums etc .. So I searched the best possible compromise between size and sound quality. I've found this Mic Sony and am despite the compromise satisfied.

Pro:
- The camera is mounted as hoped very compact and unobtrusive
- The sound worlds better than the built-in mic. In directional mode (90 degrees) is meant for discussion in several meters away, the 120 degree mode takes the ambient noise well on. Due to the small size of course anything is missing the depths, but especially important for me voices sound quite natural.
- To the perception of focus and stability noises: the stability is no longer takes now true, and with the use of my right soft lenses Sony SAL 50 f1.8 and Sigma 18-200 one hears the AF something, but really much quieter. So here too: thumbs up!
- Good battery life: If you switch the mic only when it really needs, the batteries should last forever. Does that mean I have to use approximately 1 year and some hours of video still inside the original batteries.

Cons:
- The camera flash actually works to not quite, so you have to remove the mic again for its use.

Conclusion:
Lack competition the mic of my choice. In principle, the compromise between size and quality appears to me but succeeded and did not exist this unfortunate problem with the flash, there would be 5 stars from me. But where you can remedy by a slight increase in using additional adapters.
