I think about the resolution and aspect ratio I need not say much. The picture is sharp and the format lends itself very well from programming on watching movies to playing.
The "curve" is quite pronounced, drawing a formally into geschehen.Sehr beautiful!
The colors appear to be at first glance, good, but not quite as strong as for example on the LG 34UM95. Since I'm going to calibrate the monitor with the Spyder 4 Pro, I want to first do not go into further details here.
The black is subjectively considered outstanding and unlike the IPS monitor better.
The only thing that bothers me is a purple shimmer that appears in the middle from the "beginning of the curve". Centrally located, the image is very white, but once the bow begins, the picture slightly discolored purple. This falls to only in a bright environment, but even with gray still perceive when one looks. The VA panels suffer depending on the angle under Color Shifting is known, but the curve is now not so pronounced that one might speak of a point of view. I'm not sure if you have to live with it, or whether there exists a manufacturing error.
Now I'm still waiting for a response from Samsung regarding the purple discoloration.
Edit:
I have Samsung sent a picture of the color distortion and Samsung's reply was: "The to be seen on the display color error is not within the specifications set by us."
So I have now first requested a return and sign up as soon as I have a new model.
Edit 2:
I now have a new monitor and the purple / pink glow is become less, but not completely disappeared. In addition, the image directly on the vault beginning is a little darker than all the outside and in the middle. This will probably be due to design.
I have calibrated the screen with the Spyder4Pro and monitor covers the SGB color space to 100%.
For movies, games and multitasking works or works that need a lot of space in width, the screen is absolutely unbeatable!
All the the LG 34UC97 had and have sent him back because of illumination, should definitely look at this screen! I rather live with a bit of pink / purple, as a Gold leuchtenen screen
