for quite some time I was looking for a replacement for my old monitor TN panel from Samsung. To select stand either a fixed 120Hz TN panel or a IPS in low-budget range.
Ultimately, it then became the IPS panel.
To my impressions:
The monitor comes visually quite restrained, therefore, which I personally like but quite good. From the settings, everything is available, what the heart desires.
Adjustable height, pivot, tilt and rotation, could not be better. Everything can be pretty easy to adjust, but also not too light, it will hold, too.
Overall, everything can look very sophisticated and the monitor is stable. The details of operation succeeds actually intuitively and without that it would need a guide, which you have to download if necessary, however, because the provided materials to help you in this respect quite economical. Good, I like that the controller is implemented via normal buttons, so mechanically, rather than by fiddly touch. A matter of taste, but I like it better.
The menu itself can be controlled well, all keys respond without hesitation. It can also store templates and calling via shortcut key.
For image quality:
Now that I TN was previously accustomed to it, of course, is not difficult to me to inspire in this regard for the IPS panel of Asus. Everything seems much more brilliant than on TN.
The picture is sharp and the colors look strong. Personally, I am very satisfied. Something I have to complain about only slight bright patches on the side, which stand out in a dark environment.
And unfortunately, my monitor has a pixel errors. But since he is at the top and only noticeable if you look for it, I can live with it. Overall, I would picture quality really described as very good, as measured by the purchase price.
For response time:
Since I'm really gamble much on and like shooter games, I was a bit skeptical about the speed of the panel. My concerns were immediately dispelled but the first sample-Daddeln. For me personally, the reaction time is really more than satisfactory. Even in fast-paced games I can perceive no streaks.
More I can not currently say except that I'm going to keep the monitor in any case. I would note that I am not a professional when it comes to monitors.
So my review reflects only my subjective impression again. A detailed and professional test can be found on page Prad.de, if someone really wants to know.
Oh ... accessories we have quite forgotten. Up to HDMI cable is actually doing anything. Whether it is DVI, Display Port, USB, power cord, VGA or audio.
