Good
+ The Navi seems very robust
+ Lifetime map updates (even if the download takes hours)
+ Many, really good features: Super easy route planning app, TracBack, POIs, "Where was I" Voluptuous separation between car and motorbike mode
+ "Curvy" works really great. But beware: If there is no winding roads, it may be that the device takes a huge detour just to winding roads to use
+ Even in extreme sunlight the display is clearly visible
+ Both the mount for the car, as well as hold the Navi bombenfest for the motorcycle.
+ Fast re-route
Unfortunately, the Navi also has a few teething problems and ill-conceived points
- If you put the Navi on the bike in the supplied RAM mount, then the miniUSB port is blocked, so that the Navi can not load with the supplied USB cable or the cable for the cigarette lighter. This point has annoyed me beyond measure because I am forced to use the included charging cable motorcycle, even though I have a cigarette lighter on the motorcycle. Had to connect further displaced 4 mm outwards, you would easily be able to use the microUSB connector on the motorcycle.
- The battery pack is me so far a mystery. The display is (despite complete unloading and reloading) too imprecise. A percentage indicator would have been not a luxury. As it can sometimes happen that the battery is empty faster than expected. Incidentally, the battery charges only when the machine is at least in standby. With the unit off, the battery is not charging!
- Basecamp can not "curvy". Plant is therefore a route on the navigation device - which works with the app "Route planning" very good - and would like to customize the route to Base Camp yet, then "destroyed" Base Camp by the Navi planned with twisty route and do their own thing. Very unfortunate. I hope here comes a Basecamp update.
- Sometimes - probably in Zshg with curvy - steers a Navi from a main road in the village, in an adjacent residential area, only a zurückzulotsen then a few minutes later again on the main road. So first be suspicious if the Navi will suddenly turn into a residential area, because this detour is just pointless. Up to this point, is the calculated route but usually OK.
- Lack of TMC. At this price I expect this feature without additional accessories.
- The displayed speed limit is wrong often
Summary: Apart from the mentioned negative points I'm happy with the Navi. However, all also has a high price. I forgive "only" 3 points, because I think that just for this price, some of the negative points (especially the inaccurate battery charge level and the blocked connection) simply should not be. Some of the points could Garmin easy fix through a software update.
