The commissioning of the printer is not really difficult, but very time consuming. Alone unpacking: I still have not bought a printer in which as many parts were individually wrapped. Also, the insertion of the printhead cartridge, the adjustment etc. takes time. The SW installation went smoothly. The stability and functionality are very good. Only the 2 disappointed on 1 page function because the pages are unnecessarily reduced and thus are often barely legible.
I was pleasantly surprised by the low operating noise when printing. The print speed is very fast in draft mode, the default mode is still good. The print paper is removed visually unobtrusive and dustproof in the lower paper tray, very good. This is especially for little printer like me an advantage.
Next, I tested the print quality for printing a web page in all 3 print quality levels, and parallel my old HP printer can run along for comparison. In draft mode, the print quality when Canon is miserable, I can not say otherwise. Letters fray extreme, and images are very pixelated. The only wenns really accepted you do not really matters. The HP prints better in draft mode to classes. In standard mode, the Canon prints passable, for prints that do not have to look perfect enough (again, HP is better). In the highest quality level texts finally see very well, just like images. Flott does that but in this mode, no longer. Ever have video and photo print the strengths of Canon, both qualitatively and as far as the speed. Since my old HP can not keep up with the images always look a bit pixelated.
Duplex printing works perfectly. In order to avoid a blurring of the Canon uses the otherwise used only for photo printing fast-drying black (the printer has 2 different black cartridges), which texts can look somewhat pale and little contrast. Here you have to decide what is a more important: convenience or quality.
Finally, one thing that I find somewhat disturbing: The printer is often busy his jet to clean or what I know what everything is up to. Before after switching the first pressure may start half a minute or more wait so takes some getting popular, and later he does every now and pottering. I would not want to know how much ink he wasted in this way.
Conclusion: I would buy the printer, even if the constant cleanings disturb something. The print quality is sufficient to very good (depending on mode), and duplex printing is really comfortable.
