Benefits:
+ Handy and lightweight.

Disadvantages from my perspective:
- No external microphone can be connected.
- Little degrees of freedom with respect to scene modes, exposure compensation, or "intelligent automatics".
- Only very small photo quality (9.2 Megapixel): pixelated, blurry, high noise, poor exposure. Actually useless.
- The simple plastic housing makes a rather rickety impression.
- Lens shutter must be opened and closed manually. Stone Age ...
- Micro-SD card may be used in the wrong direction! There are then but when you turn an error message on the display and you can not shoot.

Conclusion
For the price you should not expect a high-end camera. The price / performance ratio is still good because the recordings are tidy and perfectly adequate for the casual amateur filmmakers. The picture quality is certainly much higher than with a smartphone.
