Benefits:
+ Handy and lightweight.
+ Simple and intuitive operation: good high-contrast display, clear menus, reasonable arrangement of keys, manageable settings. With the joystick operation is faster than many a touchscreen.
+ Good image quality in Full HD - even in difficult lighting situations such as backlit or twilight.
+ Good zoom (27x optical, 54 x digital with loss of quality): easily accessible push button, no shocks, silently.
+ Autofocus is fast and accurate. Even when pulling the focusing takes place sufficiently quickly. Hectic swiveling back and forth should be however, because as well as the built-in image stabilizer helps limited. Use tripod In strong push.
+ Ordinary sound quality.
+ Double video recording possible: At the same time in AVCHD for high-quality recordings and mp4 for WebSharing.
+ The battery is charged via the included Micro-long USB cable to the USB power adapter - but unfortunately takes longer than with conventional chargers. The carrying strap is also a small USB cable integrated: Great idea!
+ Micro-HDMI cable included.
Disadvantages from my perspective:
- No external microphone can be connected.
- Little degrees of freedom with respect to scene modes, exposure compensation, or "intelligent automatics".
- Only very small photo quality (9.2 Megapixel): pixelated, blurry, high noise, poor exposure. Actually useless.
- The simple plastic housing makes a rather rickety impression.
- Lens shutter must be opened and closed manually. Stone Age ...
- Micro-SD card may be used in the wrong direction! There are then but when you turn an error message on the display and you can not shoot.
- Micro-SD card and bag are not included.
Conclusion
For the price you should not expect a high-end camera. The price / performance ratio is still good because the recordings are tidy and perfectly adequate for the casual amateur filmmakers. The picture quality is certainly much higher than with a smartphone.
