I bought this mainly for use with the Freeplayer, because I read on forums he managed very well VLANs, notably by putting it OpenWRT. Do not buy especially not this router for VLAN, this in not working properly. THE received router is version 1.7. This version is not supported by OpenWRT. Anyway, after you install it on the router, VLAN are well managed, but without the VLAN. You can not manage on the same port network with a VLAN ID and without. (While on the linksys wrt54g it does with openwrt, but is limited to ID 15). THE freeplayer works with the ID 100, which is why I say that it would work métais same but ave senior ID. And no !! So, I tried with official firmware of TP-link, which managed VLAN !! I say great, it's going to work. Well no, no more access to the router after using the official firmware of TP-link !!! Great, no way to update it with a new Firwmare, the router downloads the Firwmare, but does nothing apart cligoner at all costs. So, I wrote tp-link support, but which gave me any news. I end up with a bricked router !!
What menerve is not the router, but to have it planted with official firmware tp-link, and do not deign to answer.
I do not recommend this router, at least for the VLAN.
