Good fixing this filter. I have not had the opportunity to make comparisons with or without filter in order to assess its effectiveness against UV; But it provides for its price a good protection of my Tamron AF 18-270mm f / 3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD LD I mounted on a Canon 500D.
