I have tested my compact camera Nikon Coolpix S6500 and the Fuji under the same conditions (landscape at sunrise, day and sunset, flowers in close-up, portrait, children on the move outdoors or indoors and flash photography). I wanted to know whether the benefit of the larger zooms, but the disadvantages of bulky camera (can not be simply pushed into the pocket) outweigh. My answer is: no.
BENEFITS
- Excellent recordings (contrast, natural-looking colors, detailed, a drop in sharpness towards the edges I could not tell) with good to average light conditions and lack of exercise. The landscapes were partially beautifully, just shooting up close (flowers in the garden).
- The 30x zoom reacts quickly and makes good shots.
- The panoramic image program I like very much. One makes three images in succession, while looking at the camera shifts to a cross. This second image is triggered, etc.
- The camera has a lot of scene modes, including an automatic program that recognizes designs from itself.
- You can do with the camera recordings in which to set the shutter speed or the aperture yourself, so to speak, an introduction to the hobby photography.
- The camera is well made, can be excellent wear and fits comfortably in your hand. Someone has to the big fingers for compact cameras, will be done. Conveniently, it is also the cover of the lens at the strap fastened, so that it is not lost.
DISADVANTAGES
- Recordings in which movement and low light conditions play a role are not satisfactory: Moving to people (my children) or animals (birds or horses), were the recordings often not particularly sharp, even if you have used the exercise program. They were mostly fuzzy and noisy in low light. When shooting with flash me, the Fuji is unacceptable because my Compact is already underwhelming, but the pictures of the Fuji camera were virtually all noisy or blurred.
- Can not a setting set via the rotary knob or the external keys, I find the use of Fuji compared to other cameras as complicated. It is not intuitive, and you often have to repeatedly click until you get to the desired menu item. For example occurs Scene position not at a glance.
- Continuous shooting is slow, you do not see what you are capturing, and it takes forever until the images are stored (I stopped counting after 20 seconds). Normal recording stores within 2 seconds (memory card: Transcend Extreme Speed Class 10, 16GB).
- The display of the camera is not so special (low resolution).
- The flash has to be opened manually.
- The lens strongly reflected at sunrise or sunsets.
- The filming with the camera were ok but not great. So put the piano my daughter Autofocus not particularly sharp and when zooming you could hear the motor of the lens very loud in relation to the piano, which was only 1.5 meters. In my compact piano playing my daughter the zoom was much louder to hear and much quieter, and the image quality was better. In a simple SD card (not supplied) there were dropouts in the recording. So necessarily establish a better card.
- The camera is supplied with batteries, not with battery.
- The Fuji can not be stored as a small compact camera everywhere.
- The camera has failed in my operation once completely and there was nothing more. It was only when I took a short out the batteries, it worked again. However, this is so far occurred only once.
CONCLUSION: Maybe I'm doing the wrong camera. Rein for image quality in the price range I had the Fuji probably given 4 stars, but the service made me often annoyed and up to zoom my Compact has no worse, but partially performed better (for continuous shooting, flash and the movies). Here it is much lighter and fits in any pocket.
If you can adjust a camera aperture and shutter speed, the result should be better than with automatic, it was not here but. If someone wants to get into the hobby-photography, I would recommend draufzulegen something and the same to buy a cheap SLR-known manufacturer.
