Note: Printer is fully configurable and available online through a web page. It is very complete, you can set the sleep timer, the frequency of calibration phases, and many other things ...
I found what looks like a copy counter: for each cartridge is indicated the number of pages printed with the consumable.
Side toner cartridges, I'm still on the original cartridges. The black cartridge is announced as empty for 10 days, but continues to provide good quality printing, I expect it pales to change it.
I printed about 1200 sheets.
The color cartridges are 70%.
In summary, always satisfied after 4 months, the print quality is good, no jam, the charger for copy and / or scanner is practical, the scanner also works in wifi.
---------------------------
Printer recently bought (July 2013)

Print speed: Accepted
Noise level: Loud during automatic calibration phases (fairly frequent)
Printer quite old (version 2011 Date: this explains it ...)

- By System Preferences / Printers and printer recognized the installation is done automatically with access to complete information (Consumables, utility)
- By downloading an updated version of pg install (10.8 Mountain Lion and earlier on the HP / Support / Drivers)
Wifi, ePrint, AirPrint (Shift HP): not tested yet.
Life Consumables:
What to see in use.
The pros:
Getting off when not in use
The -:
Installation (Mac) a bit chaotic,
No possibility to scan from the printer panel (only copy)
No USB connector to use a USB stick,
No copy counter (at least I have not found it, there are many of use a newspaper that is supposed to indicate the number of copies by application and user, but I have not found how to implement it)
Note: the number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is given by manufacturers to pages inked to 5%; which in itself does not mean much. You often printed with a logo, usually in colors B & W, more or fewer graphics or illustrations, the life of your cartridges is based on the way you print. A copy counter is very useful for tracking your consumption.
The cartridges come with the printer are lower capacity and data for about 400 pages. The price of standard cartridges (1000 pages to be approx. 2 reams of paper) vary between 55 and 40 euros each if or Remanufactured HP).
A set of 4 cartridges with color pack option therefore amounts between 200 and 150 euros.
Other consumable drum (or imaging cylinder) given to 14,000 copies. Allow about 80 euros.
Well, we do not change all cartridges at a time but the consumable cost is not insignificant !!
