The router has been selected equal directly via the IP address and konfigueriert (know me so well, is my 4.Router). So far so good he's doing what he should. When more detailed look occur weaknesses to light.
1 obviously is not possible a configuration with real WPA2; also who it selects menu sustaining a pure WPA Key. The notebook shares this opinion and want to connect via WPA. Only those who can WPA + WPA2 enabled enter a WPA2 key, but it recognizes dan Notebook (802.11g) also as WPA.
So it's presumably. no real WPA2-AES available.
2. on ReadySHARE. certainly praiseworthy to offer something, but please think through well.
USB Stick unpacked and plugged in does not work (was formatted by FAT32 works).
Windows computer used for formatting, could alleridngs format this drive only on exFAT, NTFS or FAT32. all 3 formats were not working. Then: cleverly formatted the stick with old PowerBook G4 on FAT16 and behold, he is recognized (and included).
(This knowledge 3-Hour needed). So you have to get lucky or devices with USB try around a bit, then it works maybe. Netgear could comfortable to say about the customer needs what format the router.
Apple computers do not see the stick but rather on the network.
3. The power adapter is small and light and not as Globig as before. however can Netgear GS seal of approval away. Whether it was ever tested GS, is another question, but I'll take that but when retrograde.
4. UPnP enabled by default, which should Not be now; is also presumably. not necessary for the normal operation.
All in all there are (barely) 4 stars, the firmware can still be improved and eliminate the EPA confusion. A note what format the USB Stick / o. HD should have, would be desirable.
A manual is for beginners much easier, especially when there are problems. As could be improved. For advanced users who do not need WiFi and want to route it to gigabit level a recommendation.
