The app is offered maximum for smartphone newcomers useful. In the downloaded version of me for Android can be found in addition to the absolute basic features (7-band equalizer and different display modes for the available music on the device) switchable sound enhancements with the sonorous name Dolby Surround Processing and Mobile. The sound of the music sounds after turning a little spatial, but not necessarily better. With a reasonable set equalizer to you will be able to produce an audible result, I, however, prefer to use the app again Poweramp that is superior to the Jabra App practically in all aspects. Since the app from my perspective is not an integral part of the headphones and is always given in apps scope for change in the form of future updates, I hide this aspect of the overall assessment.
The first outer impression of the headphones is positive. The cable feels very sturdy, tangles when storing the headphones are virtually eliminated. This is sorely needed, because the included storage bag is quite small and you have to plug the headset into downright.
The earplugs do as a robust impression, the design I would describe as discreet with its own touch.
The central criterion for headset is of course the sound quality. I've been using for about half a year the Bose IE2, so I am the sound of a similar priced settled competing product used. A comparison of the two products makes sense in my eyes.
In direct comparison with each other, the headphones sound very similar. As with the IE2 bring the Vox details in the music produced, which are not to listen to ordinary 20 headphones. Instruments of any kind sound authentic, little things that were maximally heard previously hinted, are in the overall picture of the sounds now much more present. In this point, the Vox is the IE2 least equal.
The situation is different because, unfortunately, the bass from: The Vox have a tendency to reproduce bass heavy music downright booming. Music of Trentemøller, for example, almost impossible to enjoy because of the bass beats dominated almost the entire sound. For a reasonably palatable result, the bass response on the audio device to be greatly reduced. The Bose IE2 do not have to struggle with such problems because the crisp bass reproduction is a great strength of these headphones. Of course, this problem is related not only to the music of a single artist, here it struck me just a particularly negative. But contrasts with the treble response that I would rate better in Vox than the IE2.
Another strength of the Bose IE2 is the comfort and also here the Jabra Vox can not quite keep up. The IE2 can be felt thanks to the silicone mold hardly in the ear, but the Vox always exert a slight pressure. How disruptive this pressure is felt is naturally subjective. As commuters in public transport I hear daily 2 * 2 hours non-stop music. Real pain I had not, but it was nevertheless a rather pleasant feeling to pull the headphones at the end of the path from the ear canals.
The microphone on the cord does his job very well, my interlocutors can understand me always very clear.
Conclusion
Broadly Jabra presented with the Vox In Ear headphones an extremely robust and suitable for everyday use product. Listening to music makes on these headphones a lot of fun, despite occurring in drone problem in very bass-driven music. I forgive 5 of 5 stars.
