The choice fell on the Huawei Ascend G510. Price / performance are here at first glance pretty neat: 4.5 inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core, 512 MB RAM, 5 megapixel camera, Android 4.1.
Immediately noticeable: The Huawei is processed properly and makes a high quality impression. Clear: The housing is made of plastic, but who is expected in this price range otherwise not a realist. Despite the plastic frame, the smartphone is very stable, clean all the parts go into each other. Visually, the Ascend is not a highlight, but also no ugly duckling.
To feel: The unit is in spite of the size comfortably in your hand. The back has a knurled surface to avoid "out-of-hand-slip", in my experience is thus achieved quite the opposite (more at stability).
