More and more users are now using the netbook on the road, because these systems are so nice and light. If the process is then but that for a long time in a strange or own work, you have to tilt your head constantly in order to face the monitor of netbooks can. That's why I always close at my house on a separate screen and separate keyboard. This of course is still the mouse, which I anyway on the road this was. Lately I put the netbook on a separate shelf behind my desk additionally on the Artwizz AluStand because I then including also can accommodate the external CD-ROM drive. But that's really only gimmick. Is required for the AluStand not.
The AluStand only makes sense if you simultaneously use an external keyboard and an external mouse on the netbook, because in the moment when the machine is on the podium, the internal mouse and the internal keyboard of the netbook is the ergonomically worst solution at all.
If I am traveling and have to work longer with the netbook at its destination on another desk (z. B. in the hotel), I will take with the netbook, an external keyboard, the mouse and the AluStand, the very small and easily collapsible and is hardly carries weight. There I build it together quickly (which really is very simple, I almost did not believe how strong the pieces into place) the Netbook juncture conclude keyboard and mouse to be used and the netbook otherwise only the screen that now positioned ergonomically much more affordable. You could put a few powerful books under the netbook course, if one has such a spot, but there seems to me to be the more solid but AluStand solution.
I would have wished (the elevation of the device is currently about 12.5 cm), but then the part would probably be much too heavy for mobile use become even a height adjustment.
I should perhaps point out that the lower crossmember shackling the external keyboard allowed, so you can transport at a rapid move from one meeting room to another everything as a unit. However, the keyboard should then not be too large and thick. For example, fits even the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard perfectly into it, although I would not recommend for the real mobile application to a smaller and lighter external keyboard (ie more like the A4 Tech KL-5UP Laptop Keyboard).
Conclusion: A meaningful part for very specific requirements.
