The boxes are connected with me on the onboard sound card of a PC. Compared to the previous speakers, there is not only an input port with a 3.5mm blade plug. In addition, you can connect a second audio source nor parallel via a stereo RCA connection. The boxes give both signals from parallel mixed together. One should make sure that both connectors provide the same level. Otherwise, the signals are not the same issue.
Very liked me that I can fix the Z523 bass separately according to the mood or music. The subwoofer is completely disabled on minimum bass setting. At maximum setting any deep tone is inflated properly and puts pressure without the speaker or the box distort.
The volume can be dosed very fine and linear over the regulator. Again, there is no sound objections and distortions, if times the controller will be parked at the stop. If the boxes used softly, still hear the entire range. There is no frequency ranges that are particularly limited.
Processing may I commend to the present time. The components are all solid and executed valent, it rattles and nothing wobbles and the regulators, as already written, finely dosed. After some time without the signal box activates a type power-saving mode. How much is saved here, I have not measured it. Once an audio signal is present on one of the inputs, the amplifier is activated with a short delay.
Directly at the right speaker a headphone jack is integrated, with which you can just connect a headset. This works well so far very good. The signal to the headphones is not simply looped through from the box. With the built-in amplifier, the volume and the bass is adjustable on the headphones.
But now the big gripe: If the box is out of or in sleep mode and it is activated (switch with volume control or audio signal), then there is a bang in the Kopfhöhrern (without active audio signal), as if the amplifier wants time blow through the headphones , If you as the Höhrer has been on the ears, then that hurts tidy and certainly not healthy. The normal speakers do not have the behavior. The behavior I could understand so far only on the Headphone socket. Sure you can put on the headphones later, but if you forget it once, then there treating. Unfortunately, the Logitech support so far has not really able to help. It has opened a ticket, but if you do not because logs every two weeks, it is "done" as closed.
Conclusion: When the system is top boxes and would get 5 points immediately. However, since I use a lot of headphones and I already look at it as dangerous for the ears, I forgive currently only 3 points.
