during installation in the PC, supplied as standard with a 250GB Gigas 2 NTFS partitions and to which I had added a WD 1000 gigas, I transferred the entire drive 250 gigabytes on the WD 1000.
On the WD website, there is a custom version of ACRONIS true image that allows for the transfer.
Disk 250 also contained an initial installation of Windows Vista partition. the transfer of the full disk (with bootable CD we must first create) "plant" but after copying the partition. you can then perform a backup of the system partition of 250 gigabytes (on the new WD 2 Teras, in my case, which creates a file 80 gigabytes) and a restoration on the future system disk (indicating the partition size desired, much bigger). laborious but effective. Then I was able to remove the old drive 250 gigabytes.
depending month. the startup time is slightly longer (5400 r / min)
