I think the base is quite usable, and the film also managed to build quite exciting and scary moments. The strength can be seen especially on the surveillance cameras and moments at night in the church. Unfortunately, the story is about the "heathen land" something in the background, here I would have liked more depth.

What disappointed me was the end, here you could have done quite more of it after the successful midsection. The film does not succeed here, to take over the built-up "creepiness" in the open end. Maybe it's because the story around the old deity was too superficial.
Of course there are better films, but also worse. If you have time to do anything, you can look at it thoroughly.
