The brightness of a 40W bulb comes out pretty good. The matt glass, which the lamp can look like a bulb, though darkens a bit, but that's by design. When you see the thread of the lamp, you can see the LEDs that have been built on long rectangular boards built in four directions realize. The light is really nice and warm-white, as 2700 Kelvin should be.
A star deduction there that are present on the front side of the platinum cuboid, so opposite from thread no LEDs and thus the etched glass is not completely illuminated. So it is not ideally suited to be screwed into sockets, in which you can see only the top of the lamp.
Let's see how long the lamp can actually deliver. There are indeed a lot of reviews in other lamps that the products have got broken after a few days. For this price (5.99) one can not complain about the saving of 85% compared to conventional 40W incandescent lamps and ignore the non-optimum illumination.
A note for completeness yet: The letter is not like on the picture below to the base but as with other light bulbs at the top (center).
Definitely recommended!
