The scanner works with value and is surprisingly small, can thus be very well accommodated in the workplace. Installation of the equipment was not fully documented in the attached "wallpaper", but still simple: Clip the paper catch tray, press lateral guides on paper feed, connect power supply and USB cable ready. Installing the software was well documented in the tapestry and went on my two computers without any problems (Windows 7 Home and Professional).
The interior of the scan profiles (for example, black and white one-sided 300dpi or 300dpi color duplex, ...) to work with the program DocAction very simple. I had to consult with the manual, neither the wallpaper nor the PDF. The scan profiles are numbers 1-10, you can select the scanner with two keys and gets displayed in a small LED display. After loading documents and press Scan button on the unit. At the computer, a progress bar appears and after the PDF to a specified directory (user-selectable) is stored. It is automatically given a name that is made up of the date and serial number. So you have to rename the document accordingly and then move it to its destination.
The collection usually goes smoothly, only in special cases there were problems:

- Picks from magazines with jagged edges are drawn partially wrong. (In some cases, the paper is again but straightened and apparently corrected by software, so that it was in spite of a difficult time perfectly scanned)
Problems I had on several occasions with very dark pages from magazines (eg black side, white text). This produces error messages and the document is cropped incorrectly on the edge. Went corrected by I set a specific paper size in DocAction and the Auto crop turned off.
The scan quality is very good for my needs, and certainly much better than the scanner on my multifunction device.
And now to the single, true weakness that I found so far: The Speed! Had I known that beforehand because I had read the reviews and test reports. I just got but deliberately opted for this device because the alternative devices have all drawbacks herbe. But is really very very slowly. For a multipage color duplex scan you can sit and watch the progress bar in the minute range. In a one-sided black and white scan of a piece of it, after all, also takes about 2 seconds. The one holds only if one has to scan not very many long color documents and if you can do besides scanning other meaningful activities and switched back and forth between them and the scanning.
Conclusion: Is a good buy, if you can live with the speed restrictions.
