Have ordered the unit on January 02, 2014 and received on 04 January 2014 - without any express orders. Fabulous! That is in itself great ...
The article itself:
1999 I (the older ones among us will remember) at times of "SOURCE" bought a hood of privilege; this has now abandons New Year's Eve, so that a new was needed.
Now the holes are standing at the wall and the exhaust duct sometimes fixed, so the new device must match exactly.
After much browsing in family amazon I have found something and had it already in the cart.
A customer review noted, however, that my favorite did not exhaust air outlet to the rear - so get with it and start over.
Now I happened to a device that resembled my old model strong - just the device, on which I am writing this review here.
Holes: Beware! The exhaust duct: watch out! The Controls: very similar! The flap of the grease filter: exactly the same! The thing is simply exactly the same device, which I bought 14 years ago at SOURCE - only is today's "Gorenje" and not "privilege".
The inside, however, worked shockingly cheap and very leiblos together clapping: materials cheaply and I once hooked the entire interior reasonable in the holders provided for the sheet metal dress. However, the mounting of the exhaust air duct to the rear housing wall broke away again, because the formed from the sheet metal of the housing "nose" is torn - apparently they can not cope with the plastic mass. Quality Control? Wrong!
What the hell? Is more of a blemish and I do not want to send the thing back. The problem lässz with a small sheet metal screw do.
Because it does not matter, that the housing slightly dented came from the otherwise very stable packaging; transport damage was not present with any certainty because the box was completely intact.
Stupid, however, that in my wall a hole of 100 mm diameter yawns while the unit a 125 mm hole has (just like my old "privilege" if I did not even mentioned).
For a reducer (from costs about six euros), is with me no space.
So I - as then - just something "fermit" sealant taken (putty goes well, but hardens), a sausage rolled it and draped around the hole on the wall - that's it!
The transition completes, the device works.
For the extraction mode, it is necessary to adjust inside the unit a slider, so that the air is guided accordingly! There are no fewer than five (!) Different mechanisms and you have to look, which fits the own device.
To lock the necessary for my hood adjustment ("G4"), lt. Drawing a self-tapping screw needed, but was not included in the accessory bag.
Oddly enough, one screwed into the housing cover, which had no function and fit - sooner said than done.
Totally ridiculous is the description for the operation in a convection process! For either you need an engineering degree or tasted carefully what might have thought the writers and illustrators well. If you then still have to find the necessary filters - good night! Good thing I have a hole in the wall ...
This is for me the only shortcoming: the completely batty operating / assembly instructions: it leads completely messed up several different devices with different features stand on. Since the parent company is obviously too cheap, some paper or effort (or both) to invest.
Imagine, the manual from the VW Polo simultaneously meadow everything about the Audi A8 and the MAN fire trucks ...
Would I buy the hood again? Yes!
Why, when I'm so mad at some things? Because they (as described) fits with me and because I was quite satisfied with the predecessor and the price is okay. This thing sucks and you want it - that's it!
The controls will surely soon fat / have dirt in their wells, which is a bit annoying because of accessibility. Here I would have liked to push buttons under a flat film.
For white looks quite nice and is easy to clean; Fingerprints can be wiped quickly, which is not so easy at metal surfaces.
So: and now I have to choose a base lamp from Amazon, because the small Tranfunzel not sufficient in the hood. Here used to be the way two E14 sockets for two 40 W lamps, today only one for max. 28W Halo ...
Why only three stars? A fall by the wayside because of the operating and assembly instructions, the second is due to poor processing flutes!
