Great album! 16

I was really excited about the new work of Slipknot and could not even expect it to finally come out! I bought with the Deluxe Edition and here is the shell made of cardboard with a booklet inside it, which is made fast to the casing. In the booklet you will find as usual at the pictured Slipknot masks, as well as the lyrics. The CDs are in two plastic inlays. The quality of the cover is really impeccable!

For music you have to mention in any case once that the new drummer does his job well in any case! Here at first I was a little concern without Joey. But I'm really amazed at how good the new drummer. The drums perfectly blends into the sound of Slipknot, and it is just fun to listen.
The Tin Drum by Shawn I find on the album of the Hammer! It is also used quite often and I am always happy when you hear it.
In addition, more samples and more DJ stuff on the album come forward again. What has been somewhat missing in the album All Hope Is Gone.

My first impression was that the album is more like Stone Sour, Slipknot than. After listening to several times I have to withdraw this opinion. It is a thoroughly Slipknot album!
Apart from a few Calm songs, like the intro "XIX" or "Goodbye", we have also brutal neckbreaker, such as "Custer", "The Negative One", "Skeptic", "Nomadic" or "Lech". Songs such as "AOV", "The Devil in I", "Killpop", "The One That Kills the Least" and "If Rain is what you want", are very varied.
As announced, the album adds a super between Iowa and Vol. 3, with a few influences from All Hope Is Gone and the self-titled album.

The album is really great, and really good to listen. For Slipknot fans anyway a must and also for Slipknot beginners a great CD! I highly recommend this album!
