"Tomcattin`" picks up where the previous "strikes" (1979) left off. We hear Southern rock enriched with a hefty pinch of Hard Rock. The album is even a bit crisper and rockier than its predecessor. Direct the first three songs `Warped`,` On the `Dream on` run` and take full points. So I imagine Southern Hard Rock before, melodic and hard and of course Southern-Like. Only the short `Street fighter` drops a little. From `Gimme, gimme, gimme` come only standout tracks. As mentioned before, it is possible the group again to combine melody with hardness and from this arises this great mix.
Rick Medlocke particularly convinces as a singer, composer and guitarist. His Grandpa Shorty Medlocke is to hear the last song `Fox chase` at the Harmonica.
In "Tomcattin`" the decision is not difficult, here are full 5 stars attached and thus the highest grade. This album is perhaps the best of Blackfoot. When you stand on bands like Molly Hatchet, one can safely access.
