Protective covers for iPads and similar devices are available a dime a dozen, most represent only one type Buchhülle and thus at least protect the expensive equipment on the sides not or not very good. I therefore prefer completely closed cases like the here-reviewed Belkin Neoprene Portfolio. Although specifically designed for the iPad mini, the sheath 20 cm can of course be used for other devices such as e-book readers and tablets up to a size of about 14 x. The case is easy, dirt-repellent, thick padded and is additionally provided with a bilateral generous application of a rubbery, washable material, so that the stored therein device is protected really good from scrapes or lighter knocks. Particularly impressed me the impeccable and well thought out process. So the two-way zipper goes straight on two sides so that the cover can be selectively opened to a narrow, a broad or just two sides. Under the zipper a thick, soft bulge is sewn, so that in spite of the fairly narrow seat with an iPad the zipper not scars along the edge of the unit. For this, the shell is still much cheaper than the book jacket-like cases and unlike this one can also find a few notes or similar mitverstauen - or the shell completely divert the pouch or the like.
Conclusion: practical, chic, top handles plus low - what more could you want? From me all star and a clear recommendation.
