Positive design struck me. The Lenovo is solidly built, has an aluminum frame, the keyboard is to be incorporated optimally, the gap dimensions of the touchpad are fine (with me as nothing rattles) and it's just an elegant and classy look.
The brightness of the display is perfectly adequate, I am not accustomed to brighter and need it even brighter. Also, the touch screen works perfectly, it's really fun herumzutippen it.
Hardware: The Lenovo U430 is equipped all round class. For this price you will not find many Ultrabooks with these great features and performance. The technical details should not have much to say, this can be found in the product description and agree so also consistent with the product. What is, however, noticed very positive to me: From the idle state to the active mode, it takes about 1 second, which is really super fast and so the work easier and protects the nerves immensely;)
Now for the rather unattractive features:
-Absolutes Exclusion criterion: the WLAN works as it wants, sometimes a signal is there, sometimes not. All my other devices work perfectly in this regard, so why not a laptop for scarce in 1000? This can, however, expect and this is simply a prerequisite for a satisfied customer. I do not know what Lenovo was thinking to install a so inferior WLAN module, but this would revise its place as quickly as possible. For me personally, this is terribly disturbing the laptop to reboot every time to have an Internet connection for 10 minutes.
-The Frame is 1-2mm above what Although at first glance does not bother especially, but looks very sloppy on closer inspection. I also thought that this model has an integrated keyboard light, but this is not the case. Bothers me personally not so much, however, is misleading on the above pictures.
-The Battery: I do not know, it was found under the conditions that this battery will hold 10 hours (probably lowest brightness, an Internet connection and a few lines typed in Word), I come anyway at full load to a maximum of 3-4 hours, which at a full Unitag leads a battle for the seat at the outlet to fence.
All in all, I recommend the Lenovo U430 anyone who can overlook the shortcomings mentioned above. But here gets a really powerful, very visually appealing Ultrabook.
And Lenovo: Gets your problem with the Wi-Fi in the handle, for this money you can expect that! ;)
