Specifically: the device has a truly sensational good keyboard, which you can tap not only very fast and error-free, but about which one can quickly navigate using shortcuts through the system and issue commands. If mans dominated, goes really fast. However, the touch screen works perfectly. On the square format I got used quickly, the resolution is cracking droves on IPhone Nivau. The typical BB trackpad I did not miss and is the new user interface also no longer necessary. In this respect I can not agree with some of the reviews here.
The build quality is excellent, the phone is good because of its compact dimensions in the hand and is completely compatible with your pocket. Nothing creaks, nothing rattles. The feel of the back is very velvety and grippy. The unit has almost Handschmeichlerqualitäten. The frame of the phone is made of steel, all very solid, the switches (volume, on / off) are running very valuable. The battery can be replaced, there also a micro SD slot which has taken my 64GB card without hesitation.
The operating system is convincing in my opinion, especially by the sophisticated BlackBerry Hub, which all e-mail accounts, social media, SMS etc. bundles. So you have all the news together in one place. The setting up my e-mail accounts (Google and Exchange Server) with the associated contacts and calendars worked perfectly, as did the integration of Dropbox, Whats App, Evernote, Facebook and Linkedin.
Otherwise, the system is operated by swiping. Learned quickly - going well. The most important apps are preinstalled (Remember I find great, the calendar I find great, the office software as well.) The App World is growing daily and the apps that I most need, I found at first (blitzer.de, hrs, welt.de, keypass, WhatsApp, etc.). What I lack is a real XING app and the Sparkassen-app that I would have liked. But I think that's just a matter of time.
The music player Personally I like very well. While you can not make any equalizer presets, but I also do not need. The sound is with my Kopfhöhrern (very good, however, not the original headphones) first class and very well balanced, so I miss no equalizer or any sound profile. The player plays all formats from which I tried, even flac, which has always been a problem. Initially, the Q10 has not recognized the cover, after a firmware update, but it works well.
The voice and audio quality I find very convincing, even over Bluetooth. The battery life has settled down with me on a little over two days - on average use (calls, emails, calendars, occasional surfing). This is better than anything I had previously.
The camera I can say little - for pictures I use my camera. No Smartphone in the world makes even begin similar images. The snapshot qualities are very good and what I like is the subsequent image selection from a previously recorded image sequence. Caution: the Q10 makes default square photos (because of the screen). Who wants to look at the pictures on his computer or television, should as far as possible on 4: 3 or 16: 9 switch :-)
All in all, I find the BlackBerry Q10 a thoroughly enjoyable mobile beyond the Android Einheitsbreies. I am personally very likable, it is very fast, very handy, small and handy. I like it. Thank BlackBerry!
UPDATE: 07/30/13 - Today, I note that picture elements are burned in the display. I was sure that this issue really is none left - but today I was disabused. This is very ugly and I'll try that settled via warranty / guarantee on Amazon. I guess only that that has nothing to do with a "mon production", but rather a series problem. Therefore correct my rating to 3 stars.
UPDATE: 5.5.14 - I have now bought back and trying to get a free copy of a defect Q10. Simply because I like to have a phone with QWERTY keyboard would. I got from Amazon several devices whose displays were installed slightly crooked and have geknarzt with light pressure. I have shifted to the distributor and ordered at Cyberport, O2 and notebooksbilliger.de - all with the same error. I suspect that is related to Foxconn as new assembler. BlackBerry must obviously save properly, because the packaging is significantly less than it was wertig middle of last year. Too bad. Too bad. Too bad. I'm waiting for the Q20 / Classic, which is supposed to be released in November. I hope BB then what reasonable is on legs, because the software is in my opinion, really really good. But if the hardware does not fit to it profit, unfortunately, nothing. Incidentally, I have also tried the Z30, which is also a great device; unfortunately I did not get a device in which not the volume buttons have gerappelt. But also seems to be a known issue. But this is offtopic here.
