Detailed Description and the technical data for this device are likely to be so well known that the netbook will come with a matching black leatherette cover, does not go out of the product disclosure, however, is included but.
Unpacked and equal turned, after a brief, self-running configuration walked's it going, the hard disk partition (Recovery is on a hidden partition), installed programs ...
... And here are my first impressions ...
... The positive impressions:
- Optical absolute top, great design (the color appears - different than shown on the product pictures - rather pearly white, or creamy white direction, I like personally but better)
- Good workmanship
- Keyboard with a pleasant pressure point of the keys, the keyboard layout like also, the arrow keys, however, are a bit too small for my taste.
- Windows XP runs surprisingly nimble and rock solid - surf, work (office), watching movies and listening to music is not a problem - even classic games would have to run!
- The touchpad is fine - a mouse still a useful addition.
... The negative impressions:
- The fan, which is constantly running, annoying! The air noise, it is not, but the fans seem to roam anywhere (it shows when the netbook back and forth "wobble") and generates an absolutely maddening noise. The built-in microphone is thus practically unusable.
- The built-in speakers are good at most for Windows sounds and overtones of all dominant fan sounds.
- The Mirrored Screen: OK indoors or darkened environment, not OK outdoors. An anti-reflection film is likely to remedy the situation, but again costs money and effort and could have been avoided if Acer had the same built a matte screen.
- The lack of TV-out interface, with a UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) should be standard this is actually, eventually you want could just look at pictures from your last vacation or movies on TV !?
... Conclusion:
- All in all a good and convincing unit of Netbook-class, if only the annoying fan would not! A pity that Acer will destroy the otherwise mostly positive impression by installing a 'Billig' fan, here was clearly saved the wrong part! Whether I keep my Aspire One, I do not know of useful tips To replace the fan, I am grateful!
