This charger can charge AA or AAA batteries. I tested it with 2 Varta batteries the camera has refused. it's not a surprise because the user manual clearly states that only Duracell batteries are accepted. This forces to be equipped with batteries that brand or keep the old charger for other batteries. I also like the ability to load 1,2,3 or 4 batteries at a time. While the fan that team this charger is a bit noisy but it's still bearable. The LED indicators for battery status can track the process: fixed red: charging, flashing red: bad batteries and green: ready to use batteries. 15 minutes announced concerning the batteries (Duracell!) 1300 mh provided free of charge with the charger. 2400 mh I tested significantly more time-consuming. The device, however, is still faster than most other chargers trade.
