I have not the original chest of Polar in use since I bought another only recently. The Works with the clock properly. Since I had some concerns, but it is of course also equipped with Bluetooth. Super.
Otherwise, I am very impressed by the clock. For the price (135) or without chest strap with chest strap depending on supply (169 I paid for) a real little marvel. I regret not buying at all. If I want a better GPS reception, I have to just continue to spend mindestes 150 more. But I once had the Forerunner 620 from a friend for a few days at home, and because the data have been no better. The clock was really good but just twice as expensive.
What am I good find the user-configurable fields per profile in Polar Sport Flow. The portal makes a good impression but here really should be touched up a little. An automatic data exchange with other providers such as Strava would be great. The app on the iphone works fine, but unfortunately I do not see all the information as the portal. But it is not bad.
What I do is not good find that I have set an automatic circular narrative per Km, which also works, short beeps (yes could be louder, but in the forest it is good, even in normal roads, but not in busy streets, but who jogs there for a long time and like) and I see the information about my last lap very briefly. I would like to see this longer, or can even be displayed. The fields for configuring do not access this information. Man must activate while running, so this information can be displayed in the fields manually round. Otherwise stay on the 0
The heart rate measurement via belt, I personally find much better because the actual temperatures, it is usually not possible to put the clock on the clothes, because the clock for example. must be of TomTom yes directly to the skin. It's too cold for me, or I can not read the values then because my jacket above the clock would. Also have the belt from Polar and is also comfortable to wear, but I use indeed currently still my old belt.
The Life Tracking is a nice little bonus, but does not outstanding as at the normal bands. It's just an information and move forward is only used for motivation. I think it's nice but not a selling point. The monitoring of sleep sometimes works well, sometimes I'm apparently through the night !!!
Top
- Robust housing
- Good design for a Running Watch
- Various sports profiles that can be configured with different views
- Easy start-up the clock
- Easy to read in all weather conditions
- Really easy to use. With gloves but caution is necessary, as with all that you do not get caught the wrong button
- No touch, because in winter totally bad to use. Also not really good with the special gloves
- Diary of last runs
- Fitness test with the help of the clock
- Good GPS receiver, except for a failure during a run.
- The Back to start function which serves at least as a guide. Already used and really good.
- Motivation after the race when you've made a new record
- Water resistant. I have already used the swimmer, but only because of the timing.
- Simple data transfer via app (iPhone)
Neutral
- Housing however is of limited use for delicate woman wrists
- Flow of Polar Portal should have better evaluation possibility. The contact with friends is better to solve
- Monitoring of sleep does not work optimally, but that's not important to me
- The audible alarm volume. An additional vibration alarm would have been great. But I knew that already.
- Battery life for 3 days and two runs a 1:45 hrs including chest strap comes to an end...
Negative
- No permanent display of the last automatic round (never with me 1 Km)
All in all makes this clock a great impression. I hope even at successive improvements to the clock (software) and in the analysis options in the portal. I can fully recommend for the money anyway.
